Return For AYC Trip and Other Updates

Just as a quick update to everyone, we are currently preparing to make a quick return to Mexico for the ALJC Apostolic Youth Corps trip to Rio Bravo and Reynosa. We will be leaving this Sunday morning, which should put us in Mexico right at dark. We are looking forward to working with Bro. Wilson and the young people in this venture. Sis. Hickman has a full list of activities planned including mass outreaches and a Vacation Bible School at the Rio Bravo Church. Thanks be to God for the help! We know it will be hot, hot, and hotter but it will be a great opprotunity to serve the Lord in the only missions field you can actually drive to!

Have you ever thought about that point? Mexico represents over 300 people groups and 30 languages with over 110,000,000 souls...and yes...IT IS A FOREIGN COUNTRY! Mexico is the ONLY foreign field you can drive to from the United States with the exception of Canada. What a great opprotunity to do a work for God right in your own back yard!

We would also like to, once again, thank all of the stateside Churches that we have been privilidged to visit during this trip. We will be returning to the United States after the AYC trip for a two weeks. One of these weeks we will be spending at Texas District ALJC Campmeeting where Bro. Hood is scheduled to be Ordained. Afterward we will be traveling to Garden Valley, Texas with Pastor Vestle and the family there. We will then take a few days to rest and then head back for Mexico to start our second and final semester of language school on August 10th.

This will be our last update until after the AYC trip. After the AYC trip we will post some pictures of the activities. We're sure everyone will have a great time in the work of the Lord. Also, thanks to everyone who called and sent emails and cards on Bro. Hood's birthday. They were all greatly appreciated.

Until next time...God bless!

June 2009 Newsletter Entry

We write this update to you from the United States. After several months in Mexico we were asked to come back to the United States for a couple of weeks to personally update some of the Churches about our work in Mexico and also to visit some Churches we were unable to go to last Fall. With each service we have seen the miraculous move of the hand of God.

We have been privileged to be in service with several Churches in Texas including in the cities of Texarkana, Paris, Clarksville, Seagoville, Van Alstyne, Cleburne and Grand Saline. This time has also included two great revivals with Solid Rock Apostolic Church in Seagoville, Texas where we have seen God filling souls with the Holy Ghost and many miraculous works of healing. Jesus Christ is still alive and His ministry continues through His Church!

We are currently preparing to return to Mexico for the Apostolic Youth Corps visit in July and are sure God will continue to do great things through this wonderful department of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. The AYC has been a blessing everywhere they have been and we are sure they will be no less of a blessing in Mexico. Please keep this effort in you prayers. It could be that from some of these young people will become the next series of World Missionaries!

We would also ask you to keep in prayer a new project we have begun online. We are titling it the “Ser Salvo” Project, meaning “To Be Saved”. The project includes several phases including the building of a website that will interactively outline the Plan of Salvation, a Questions and Answers forum and a online directory of Spanish speaking and bilingual Apostolic Churches in the United States as well as links to international Apostolic fellowships in Spanish speaking countries.

If you are interested in this project, we would appreciate your help. Our greatest need is the participation of Spanish speaking and bilingual Apostolic Churches to provide their information for listing with our directory. The beta launch for the website had been scheduled for June 22nd, but because of a lack of Churches to add to the directory, we have postponed the launch till the end of July.

Lastly, we would like to give thanks to all of you who have continued so faithfully in your prayers and support of our work in Mexico. Without the faithfulness of you who remain in the United States, those who are working in foreign fields would be severely disabled in their efforts.

Again, we give thanks to the Lord for the opportunity to work with the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ, Sister Hickman and the Apostolic works in Mexico. What a great opportunity to work together for God through the ALJC!

Update and June Newsletter

Just wanted to take time to give a brief update as to all that God has done since we last posted. God has continued to bless with wonderful manifestations of His Spirit in our sevices. Since our last update we have been in service with Soul's Harbor Pentecostal Church in Texarkana, Texas and First Pentecostal Church in Van Alstyne, Texas. During these services we continued to experience the great blessings of the Holy Ghost!

We are currently preparing to return to Solid Rock Apostolic Church in Seagoville, Texas beginning Monday, June 29th at 7 PM. We are also looking forward to our soon return to Mexico for the ALJC Apostolic Youth Corps Summer Trip to Reynosa. We will be returning with them for one week after which we will return to the United States for Texas District Campmeeting and, soon thereafter, back to Mexico through the end of the year. Our second semester at King's Way Language School is scheduled to begin August 10th. Please remember us in prayer as we continue to study the Spanish language with the goal of evangelizing the Spanish speaking world.

Our June Newsletter has been emailed but for some reason never was received by ANYONE, so please forgive the delay. We will be resending them tonight. We pray they are a blessing to you.
Again, we appreciate your prayers and faithful support of our efforts and Apostolic Missions in Mexico.

Praise Reports, Itinerary Update and the "Ser Salvo" Project

Since our last post we are thankful to announce the great things that God has been doing. In every service the Spirit of God has been moving in great ways and God continues to pour out healings and His Spirit upon those who are seeking Him.

We have recently been in services with Pastor Peter Gray and First Pentecostal Church of Paris, Texas as well as Pastor J. Garvin Pulley and Central Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Grand Saline, Texas. Each service was powerfully attended upon by the presence of God. This past Wednesday night we were in service with Pastor Jacob Forest and New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Clarksville, TX. There we were blessed to see a family we had worked with while we were living in Paris. We are glad to announce that they are now attending New Life Tabernacle. Both have been baptized in Jesus' name and the husband has received the baptism of the Holy Ghost! We are thankful that God gave us the opprotunity to witness them serving God.

Please also note an update to our itinerary on July 27th. That afternoon we will return to Garden Valley, TX with Pastor Vestel and the family of Apostolic Temple. We greatly appreicate their hospitality in welcoming us back. If you're in the area and can be with us, you will be greatly blessed!

Also, work on the "Ser Salvo" project continues to go well. The beta launch is scheduled for June 22nd and we are on schedule for the launch. If you would like more information on this outreach effort to the Spanish speaking world, please email us.
